Victoria qualified as an English law solicitor in 2007 and began her legal career at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in London, where she specialised in real estate finance origination and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securitisations.

Following her move to Dubai, Victoria joined Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP, assisting with the establishment of the firm’s UAE offices before becoming a Senior Associate within the Projects Team of Allen & Overy LLP Dubai.

During this time, Victoria advised banks, sponsors and corporates on a wide range of complex transactions, including acquisition finance, leveraged finance, Islamic finance, project finance, margin loans and corporate restructurings.

Drawing from her broad experience across leading international law firms and transactional practice areas, Victoria developed a deep understanding of legal team culture, lawyer career progression and the challenges facing legal professionals.

Following her own experiences with legal recruiters, Victoria co-founded HIA Legal in 2016 with the vision of creating a professional, discreet and bespoke legal recruitment consultancy built by lawyers, for lawyers.
