Hugo W.J. Alexander joined HIA Legal full-time in 2026 following a successful internship with the firm whilst studying at Oxford Brookes University.

Specialising in Energy & Infrastructure, Corporate M&A and Banking & Finance recruitment across Houston, Dallas and Austin, Hugo combines a strong understanding of the legal market with an extensive professional network developed through both his own experience and his family’s long-standing connections within the legal profession.

He is particularly active within the United States legal market, where he continues to build relationships with leading lawyers and law firms while supporting clients and candidates on strategic recruitment assignments.

Outside of work, Hugo has a passion for wine and holds the WSET Level 2 Award. He is also an accomplished competitive shooter, having represented Oxford Brookes University in national shooting competitions and continuing to compete across the UK. As a Freeman of both the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers and the City of London, Hugo combines professional excellence with a strong commitment to tradition, community and service.
