Our terms and conditions for using the online application system explain how we use your personal data.

How we use your information

To apply for vacancies, you will be asked to supply some personal information. The information you give us will be held in a secure database and will not be shared with other organisations, except where another organisation is party to the recruitment process (for example, with one of our clients that you have instructed us to pursue an application with). All information received is treated in strictest confidence as per Recruitment and Confederation guidelines and employment practise code issued by the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office)

The information you provide as part of the recruitment process will be held by HIA Legal Limited, and used for administering your application and, separately, for equality and diversity monitoring and reporting. This information will be retained for five years.

If you are appointed to a position, this information will then form the basis of your employment record. HIA Legal Limited uses this for various purposes associated with your employment, which you will be fully informed of prior to your appointment. (ie, for processing your application and reference checking prior to your employment)
